McCarren Park and Ericcson Playground

Brooklyn, New York

Welcome to New York City's wonderful McCarren Park and Ericcson Playground located in Brooklyn. McCarren Park is named for Irish immigrant Patrick Henry McCarren who eventually became a New York state senator in the late 19th century. This park was first established in 1909 the same year that McCarren passed away. Ericcson Playground was named for Swedish-American inventor John Ericcson. These 2 parks are next to each other so they share a profile.
