Mother Cabrini Park
Welcome to New York City's Mother Cabrini Park located in Brooklyn. This park was named for the great Romantic Catholic Missionary Mother Francis Xavier Cabrini who migrated to New York from Lodi, Italy and became the first U.S. Citizen to be canonized. As a missionery she did many great things to help those living in poverty. She is mentioned in the John Candy movie Uncle Buck.
New York City Park Ordinances
*Unless otherwise posted all parks close at 1:00 a.m. and open at 6:00 a.m.
*The following are prohibited; childless adults in the playground areas, defacing public property, fighting, gambling, glass objects, harming wildlife, littering, sexual activity, weapons.
*The following are only allowed in designated areas; alcoholic beverages, bicycles, fires, fishing, horseback riding, motor vehicles, swimming.
*The following require special permits; camping, sales.
*All animals must be leashed and waste removed.
