Welcome to New York's beautiful Clarence Fahnestock State Park located near Carmel.

Trails: Clarence Fahnestock State Park boasts many multipurpose trails for all seasons. Many skiers come here in the winter time to enjoy the cross-country trails at the Winter Park. Come out and explore.

Aquatic Activities: Canopus Lake is about 105 acres in size and is thus closed to motorized watercraft however non-motorized watercraft can be rented at the park office. The fishing in Canopus Lake as well as the park's other ponds is great for bass and trout. There is a sandy swimming beach for hot summer days.

Camping: Clarence Fahnestock State Park has 80 campsites but none of them have electrical or water hookups. There are however shower rooms nearby. Come out and stay a few nights.
