Mendon Ponds Park
Welcome to the beautiful Mendon Ponds Park, a protected area of forests and wetlands in Honeoye Falls, New York. This is the largest recreation area to be managed by Monroe County. It's landscapes were formed by glacial retreat at the end of the last ice age thousands of years ago. In 1969 this place was designated as a National Natural Historic Landmark by the United States Department of the Interior. There are over thirty miles of hiking trails waiting to be explored and many people flock here to go sledding on snowy winter days.
