Stewart Park

Ithaca, New York

Welcome to Stewart Park located on the shores of Cayuga Lake in Ithaca, New York. This park was once part of the estate of a man named James Renwick whose family owned the land for just over a century. It was first made into a park in the early 1890's and once had a merry-go round and a zoo. It was temporarly closed around 1915 and used as a movie studio until the park was finally reopened in 1920 by mayor Edwin Stewart, for whom the park is named. Come out and have fun.
