Welcome to Calverton Ponds Preserve in Manorville, New York. For over half of the 20th century this land was commercially used to grow cranberries. Today this nature preserve helps to protect what is one of the most rare and unique natural communities in the world, a habitat of coastal plain ponds, oak-pine forests, and wetlands.

The preserve's exact acreage is still unknown but this is according to the official website.
