Abe Lebewohl Park
New York City, New York
Abe Lebewohl Park is a small urban green space in the lower east side of Manhattan. It is named for a Jewish immigrant who was born in the Ukraine in 1931 and his family immigrated to the United States after escaping the holocast. Lebewohl started a very successful restaurant that he operated for many years. Sadly he was murdered in 1996.
