Bellevue South Park

New York City, New York

Welcome to New York City's Bellevue South Park, located near to and named after one of the world's leading medical centers for over 200 years. The park was first mapped in 1966 but it was not until two decades later in 1986 that the park was finally developed. The severe financial troubles of New York City in the 1970's postponed the park's development. In 1997, Councilman Antonio Pagan sponsored a $2 million renovation that resulted in new plants, two new playgrounds, a basketball court, and other improvements. Today this little urban playground has much to offer for the residents and visitors of the Big Apple. Come on out and have fun.
