Welcome to New York City's DeSalvio Playground located in Manhattan. This park is named for two Italian immigrants John DeSalvio and his son Louis. John grew up to become a successful boxer and businessman. Louis DeSalvio was eventually elected to the State Assembly. This park was first established in 1955.
