Peter Detmold Park
Welcome to New York City's Peter Detmold Park, a place named in memory of a U.S. Army Veteran who served in World War II under the great General George Patton. After returning home from the War Detmold earned a degree in history from the prestigious Cornell University. Sadly Detmold was murdered in 1972 but his memory lives on in many people's hearts and in this little urban park.
This was RecPlanet place of the day on April 2, 2015.
