Welcome to Emery Park located in South Wales, New York.

Park History: A man by the name of Joseph Emery owned 175 acres of land in what was then the town of Aurora, New York. The Emery Family owned, resided on, and worked this land for over a century. In 1925 the Park's Commission purchased the land from Helen Emery and Emery Park was established. From the start, this beautiful park has boasted a rock garden, a 600 person amphitheater, gardens, and a stone bridge. Over 95% of the park's structures were built before the year 1935.

Flora and Fauna: Emery Park helps protect the home of numerous plant and animals species. Some of the plants that grow inside the park boundaries include butternuts, hemlocks, black cherries, ashes, beeches, birches, big tooth aspens, pines, and willows. Some of the wild animals who call this place home include raccoons, squirrels, skunks, white-tailed deer, rabbits, owls, herons, and woodpeckers. Please treat their home with respect.

For the lover of the outdoors Emery Park boasts over two miles of multipurpose trails, a picnic area, and much more. Come on out and explore!
