Davis Playground
Welcome to New York City's Davis Playground located off of Jersey Street in Staten Island. This urban playground is named after a man named William T. Davis, a historian and scientist who was born in Staten Island's New Brighton Neighborhood in 1862 and spent three decades working for the New York Produce Exchange. Davis was a man of many intellectual interests and a man who advocated for the creation of parks on Staten Island. He passed away in 1945 and today this playground named in his memory boasts a basketball court and playground for the kids. So whether you are a resident of then Big Apple or a visitor, come out and have fun!
