Welcome to Castilia Quarry MetroPark located in Castilia, Ohio. This beautiful park was once the site of a limestone quarry. Today it is the home of over 240 plant species and several wild animals. Please treat their home with respect. In some of the rocks inside this park one can discover crinoid and horn coral fossils left over from a prehistoric saltwater sea.
For the lover of the outdoors Castilia Quarry MetroPark boasts a trail around the perimeter, an observation area where one can see as far as the Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial on a clear day, picnic tables, geocaching opportunities, and much more. Come on out and explore.
