Welcome to Ohio's Hopewell Culture National Historic Park, a place of Native American history located on the banks of the Scioto River in Chillicothe. Native Americans of the Hopewell Culture built six historic mounds on this land over 2,000 years ago and over the years used them for important ceremonies including funerals, feasts, and rites of passage.
