Cowan Lake State Park
Welcome to Cowan Lake State Park in Wilmington, Ohio. Long before the first Europeans arrived in the region this was the home of the Miami and Shawnee Native American tribes. The reservoir itself was first built in 1950 and named for the local surveyor John Cowan. Fossils that are over half a billion years in age can be found in this park and the surrounding area. Come out and spend a day on the lake. There is a 10PH limit on boat motors.
237 of the park's campsites have electricity. To contact the park office please call 937-383-3751.
