Welcome to E.W. Perry Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This park was named for Ezel Willie Perry, the first African-American to address the Southern Baptist Convention which he did in 1949. Perry was born in a log cabin in Mississippi in 1882 and migrated to OKC in 1915 and became pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church.
