Welcome to Scouters Mountain Nature Park in Happy Valley, Oregon, a suburb of Portland. This extinct lava dome forest preserve has trees (including Big Leaf Maples, Douglas Firs, and Oregon White Oaks) that are over 2 centuries in age, a great 1.5 mile hiking trail, and marvelous views of Mount Hood and the surrounding region.
