Welcome to Malheur National Forest, an oasis of high desert grasslands, towering peaks, lakes, and meadows nestled in eastern Oregon’s Blue Mountains.
Flora and Fauna: Malheur National Forest helps protect the home of numerous plant and animal species. Some of the plants that grow inside the forest boundaries including spruces, firs, pines, and junipers. Some of the wild animals who call this place home include deer, raccoons, squirrels, foxes, and mountain lions. Please treat their home with respect. Come on out and have a blast!
