Welcome to Pennsylvania's Bald Eagle State Forest, a nearly 200,000 acre wilderness that spreads across it's Allegheny Mountain Region. It is named for the nation's bird as well as a famous Native American chief. When the State of Pennsylvania purchased the land they paid about $2.30 per acre.
