State Game Lands Number 260
Welcome to State Game Lands Number 260 in Berwick, Pennsylvania. In the 19th century this land was mined for it's coal resources and the Salem Coal Company, which was first founded in 1873 mined as much as 65,000 tons of coal per year during busy times. Today this land has since returned to a state of nature making up a beautiful oak forest preserve that ranges in elevation from 700 to 1,500 feet above sea level. Today many hunters come here for black bear, grey squirrel, wild turkey, and white taild deer.
