Woodbourne Forest Preserve

Montrose, Pennsylvania

Welcome to Woodbourne Forest Preserve located in Montrose, Pennsylvania just outside of Dimock. The land's previous owner Francis R. Cope generously donated the first 500 acres of this land to The Nature Conservancy in 1956 making it the first propery owned by TNC in Pennsylvania. Additional acquisitions have made it larger in size over the years to help protect one of the largest remaining sections of old-growth forest in NE Pennsylvania. In honor of the 50th anniversary of the preserve the Keystone Trails Association helped to improve the preserve's multipurpose trails in 2006.
