Tyler State Park

Welcome to Pennsylvania's beautiful Tyler State Park located on the banks of Neshaminy Creek just northeast of Philadelphia.

Park History: Long before this land became a state park it was a working farm operated by a man named George Tyler and his wife. The land finally became a state park in 1974 and both the stables and the mansion remain standing. One of the park's other unique features is it's beautiful Schofield Ford Covered Bridge which dates back to 1873.

Trails: Tyler State Park boasts over 25 miles of trails and some of them are open to horseback riders and mountain bikers. While hiking the trails one could see warblers, vireos, raccoons, or snapping turtles.

Disc-Golf Course: Tyler State Park is home to one of the top disc-golf courses in the United States. It begins near the Upper Plantation Picnic Area and has 36 holes. Come out and try your luck.

Boating: Neshaminiy Creek has a ban on gasoline powered watercraft. Canoes and kayaks can be rented at the park seasonally.
