Settler’s Cabin Park
Welcome to Settler's Cabin Park located in Collier, Pennsylvania between the City of Pittsburg and it's airport.
Park History: Some of the first white settlers who arrived in this region built a log cabin on the site that is now Settler's Cabin Park in 1780 (hence the park's name). Many of the parks picnic shelters and groves are named for some of the Native American tribes who once inhabited the region including Apache, Seneca, Tomahawk, and Algonquin. For a long time this region was a major producer of coal, petroleum, and natural gas and numerous open pit mines were dug. Since the mining days there have been many successful efforts to reforest and restore the land to a state of nature. This park boasts multipurpose trails, the county's most popular wave pool, tennis courts, and much more. Come on out and have fun!
