Charles Town Landing State Historic Site

Charleston, South Carolina

Welcome to South Carolina's historic and beautiful Charles Town Landing State Historic Site located near Charleston. It was at this site in 1670 that the first English settlers arrived in the region and started what would become the Carolina Colony. A replica of the original ship still stands in port here. The ship is the only section of the park that is not ADA accessible.
