Devil’s Fork State Park
Welcome to Devil's Fork State Park located on the shores of Lake Jocassee in northern South Carolina not far from the North Carolina and Georgia State Line. Lake Jocassee is a beautiful mostly undeveloped 7,500 mountain reservoir that is fed by many mountain rivers and waterfalls. The only public access is through Devil's Fork State Park. The lake's clear waters make it a popular destination for freshwater scuba-diving, and there are dive shops not far away.
Camping at Devil's Fork State Park: As the founder of RecPlanet I would like to speak about my personal experience at Devil's Fork State Park. The campgrounds are very nice, they are well forested and well developed and it makes for a peaceful night's sleep. To reserve a spot please call 1-866-345-PARK.
The park also has playgrounds, picnic shelters, over two miles of hiking trails, dozens of developed campsites, beautiful mountain scenery, wifi-internet at the ranger stations, and much more. Come out and explore!
