Colonial Dorchester State Historic Site

Summerville, South Carolina

Welcome to South Carolina's unique Colonial Dorchester State Historic Site located near Summerville. This park is the site of a ghost town that was established in the late 17th century and abandoned around the time of the Revolutionary War. A piece of Saint George's Anglican Church still remains today as does a piece of an old fort made out of tabby, an oyster shell concrete.
