Welcome to Dakota Nature Park in Brookings, South Dakota. Believe it or not this nature preserve was once a landfill, but today it has been restored back to a state of nature that gives habitat to numerous wild animals and is a great spot for bird-watching. There is also an off-leash dog park as well as a catch and release fishing pond.
