Welcome to Buryanek Recreation Area located on the banks of the Missouri River near Burke, South Dakota. The Lewis and Clark Expedition passed through this region in the 19th century.

Boating: Boats of all sizes are welcome to come launch here and explore the Missouri River for miles around. Come out and launch one.

Fishing: Buryanek is also a popular place for fishing. Some of the fish to catch include channel catfish, northern pike, and smallmouth bass.

Camping: The Buryanek Recreation Area has many campsites with electricity and water that range from 60-70 feet long. There is also a dumping station. Come out and stay the night.
