Welcome to South Dakota's beautiful Adams Homestead and Nature Preserve located outside of Sioux City on the banks of the Missouri River. The land that is today's park was once owned by a homesteader named Stephen Searls Adams and in 1984 his two granddaughters Mary and Maud generously donated the land to the State of South Dakota. Birdwatchers will be interested to know that this park is home to over 100 species of birds and hikers will take interest in over 10 miles of trails. Archers will also take an interest in the park's archery range. Come out and have fun.
