Tennessee State Forests

Welcome to Chickasaw State Forest located in western Tennessee. Most of the land that is now Chickasaw State Forest was purchased in 1938 by the Resettlement Administration at a time when the lands bared heavy scars of over-use. In 1955 the land was given to the State of Tennessee.

Wildlife: Chickasaw State Forest helps protect the home of numerous wild animals including white-tailed deer, squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, foxes, and hawks. Please treat their home with respect when visiting. 

For the lover of the outdoors Chickasaw State Forest boasts multipurpose trails, numerous campsites, and much more. Come on out and explore.
