Welcome to Shackleford Ridge Park in Fairmount, Tennessee on the edge of the Prentice Cooper State Forest. Some of the resident wildlife include white-tailed deer, foxes, raccoons, coyotes, and many others. 

When visiting any Hamilton County Park please respect the rules.

  • *Pets must be leashed at all times
  • *Swim at your own risk- no lifeguards
  • *Parks close at 10:00 PM
  • *Alcoholic beverages and firearms are prohibited
  • *Motorized vehicle traffic is not permitted off of designated roads, driveways, or on jogging paths
  • *Removal or destruction of vegetation is prohibited
  • *Vending or solicitation without written permission is prohibited
  • *Speed limit will be as posted
  • *Entrance to areas posted as closed is prohibited
  • *All motorized vehicles and operators must be licensed for unconditional operation on roads and highways
  • Please respect these rules, the parks, and all local, State of Tennessee and United States Statutes. Be safe and have fun.
