New Johnsonville Tennessee Parks , Tennessee State Parks

Welcome to Tennessee's Johnsonville State Park located in New Johnsonville. The town and the park are both named for former President Andrew Johnson, the 17th President of the United States who was Lincoln's Vice President until his assassination. Johnsonville was the site of a Union Army Supply Depot during the Civil War and in the fall of 1864 General Nathan Bedford Forrest and his confederate soldiers attacked the depot. Much of what remains of the old Johnsonville is now at the bottom of Kentucky Lake.

Trails: Come out and explore over 8 miles of hiking trails.
