Roan Mountain State Park

Welcome to Roan Mountain State Park! Roan Mountain State Park is located at the base of 6,285 foot Roan Mountain. The park’s elevation ranges from 3,000 to 3,700 feet. The park offers numerous recreational opportunities including trout fishing (brown trout and rainbow trout) fishing on the Doe River and over 12 miles of hiking trails and over 2 miles of biking trails. The park has cabins that have double beds, running water, and electricity. Or one can camp outdoors at one of the parks 107 campgrounds. Roan Mountain State Park is also home to lush vegetation including blooming Rhododendrons. Some of the parks wildlife include deer, black bears, and wild turkeys. Come on out and have a blast!
