Welcome to the beautiful Mustang Island State Park located on the Texas Gulf Coast near Corpus Christi. As the name implies this park was once home to wild horses who inhabited the island for centuries. Today this park helps protect over 5 miles of coastline. One can come out and spend a day at the beach or explore the park's 20 mile paddling trail through some of the best shallow water fishing opportunities in the state.
Camping: Mustang Island State Park's campsground has 98 sites and 48 of them have electricity and water and the remaining 50 are drive up primitive sites. Come out and stay a few nights.
