Welcome to one of the largest urban state parks in the United States, the beautiful Franklin Mountains State Park located just oustide of El Paso, Texas. The State of Texas first purchased this land in 1981 and the park finally opened in 1987. Come out and hike the many miles of trails and explore the Franklin Mountains.

Some of the park's wild animals include coyotes, mule deer, cougars, golden eagles, and many others. Please treat their home with respect when visiting.
