Welcome to the great Huntsville State Park located in the middle of the Sam Houston National Forest in Huntsville, Texas. Come out and explore 21 miles of multipurpose trails or do a little fishing in the more than 200 acre Lake Raven. Some of the resident wildlife include skunks, raccoons, deer, American alligators, and over 250 species of birds. For thousands of years before the first Europeans arrived in the region this was the homeland of the Bidai Native American tribe. In more recent times it was heavily logged for it's timber resources but has since been reforested. Many of the park's facilities were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps.

77 of the campsites have electricity and water. To contact the office please call 936-295-5644.
