Welcome to Pedernales Falls State Park located in Johnson City, Texas. The land that is the present day park was once operated as a dude ranch before it was purchased by the State of Texas in 1970. The falls themselves drop about 50 feet in elevation in 3,000 feet of river. The limestone bedrock of this region is dated to be over 300 million years old. The human visitor can come explore the park's many multipurpose trails, go tubing down the river, cast a line for fishing and do much more. Some of the parks wild animals include coyotes, white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, skunks, and many others. Please treat their home with respect when visiting.

Camping: Pedernales Falls State Park has 69 campsites with electricity and water. Come out and stay a few nights.
