Welcome to Lake Whitney State Park located on the shores of Lake Whitney in Whitney, Texas. This park first opened in the spring of 1965. The lake itself has a surface area of over 23,000 acres so one can spend an entire day on the lake. Some of the fish include largemouth bass, catfish, crappie, and bluegills.
