Battlefield South and Great Bridge Lock Park

Welcome to Battlefield South and Great Bridge Lock Park located on the Elizabeth River in Chesapeake, Virginia. Come launch a boat and explore the river, grill some meats at the picnic area, or bring the kids to the playground.

The other park entrance is located at 120 Reservation Road.

Chesapeake Virginia Park Ordinances

*Please use parks only during posted hours.

*The following are prohibited; defacing public property, harming wildlife, littering.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; bicycles, fires, fishing, motor vehicles, picnicking, remote control aircraft, swimming.

*All persons ages 5 and up must use the restroom of their designated sex.

*All dogs must be leashed (no longer than 5 feet) and waste removed.
