Natural Tunnel State Park
Welcome to Natural Tunnel State Park! Park History: The creation of Natural Tunnel dates back to over a million years ago when glacial activity helped carve out the limestone bedrock and clear the way for Stock Creek to carve out the rest of the tunnel. Many prehistoric fossils can be found on the tunnel walls as well as along the banks of Stock Creek.
The State acquired the land in 1967 from the Natural Tunnel Chasm and Caverns Corp. Natural Tunnel State Park opened in 1971 and today the park boasts hiking trails, campsites, as well as access for the disabled. Come on out and have a tunneling adventure.
