Welcome to one of Lynchburg's more natural parks the Blackwater Creek Natural Area. Located on the banks of Blackwater Creek this park is forested with many plants including sycamores, pines, oaks, poplars, asters, and wild gingers. Some of the animals that make their home here include white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, raccoons, herons, woodpeckers, hawks, owls, and many others. Please treat their home with respect. Come on out and explore.
