Welcome to Leesylvania State Park located not far from the US Capitol in Prince William County Virginia!

Park History: Leesylvania State Park is one of the younger parks in the Virginia State Park System. The land was donated by philanthropist Daniel Ludwig in 1978. The early settlers to the region used to come mine the parks sandstone for construction of local building and the land became known as "Freestone Point." In 1992 the land became a State Park.

Today the park boasts hiking trails, a boat ramp (all kinds of boats), campsites (all primitive), and a fishing pier. Come on out and have fun.
