Long Trail State Forest
Welcome to Vermont's beautiful Long Trail State Forest. This forest was first established in 1996 and is unique in that it's a linear State Forest that is designed to protect the Long Trail. The Green Mountain Club still plays a big role in helping the state to manage it today. Some of the more scenic places along the trail include Domeys Dome, Sugarloaf Mountain, Gilpin Mountain, and Strawberry Hill. While exploring the trail one may see moose, black bears, bobcats, beavers, or many others.
