Welcome to Averys Gore Wildlife Management Area in Montgomery Center, Vermont. This nature preserve was first established in 1969 when the State of Vermont purchased the land from the Foster Family in 1959 and it was named for a small town that once existed in the region. Today it's a diverse forest preserve that helps protect important wildlife habitat for black bears, bob cats, white-tailed deer, and many others.
