When you reach the summit of Steptoe Butte State Park you will 3,612 feet above sea level, standing on some of the oldest known rock in the Pacific Northwest, as well as the border of the original North American continent. Come out for some magnificent views of the Palouse Hills. It is also a great place for kite-flying on windy days.
