Lake Wilderness Park
Welcome to Lake Wilderness Park located on the shores of Lake Wilderness in Maple Valley, Washington, a suburb of Seattle. This park is heavily forested and helps to protect the headwaters of Soos Creek, a tributary of the Green River. The park's Green to Cedar Rivers Trail connects up to the Cedar River Trail. Come out and explore the trails, fly a kite on the wide open field on windy days, have a nice picnic (the picnic area has grills), and bring the kids to the playground.
Boating and Swimming: Gasoline powered watercraft are prohibited on Lake Wilderness but people are welcome to launch paddle boats or boats with electric motors. The Lake Wilderness Swim Beach is a great place to come cool down on hot summer days. Lifeguards are on duty seasonally.
Wildlife: The forests and wetlands of Lake Wilderness Park are home to many wild animals including beavers, deer, hawks, squirrels, and others. Please treat their home with respect when visiting.
