Moran State Park
Welcome to Washington's beautiful Moran State Park located in Orcas Island not too far from the United Statse/Canada border. This is one of the state's first really large state parks and was established in 1905 and named for Seattle Mayor Robert Moran who bought up lots of this land on this island with the initial intent of retiring here but eventually donated it to the state. Many of the facilities were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Come out and explore nearly 40 miles of trails. The highest point in the park is 2,409 feet above sea level, Mount Constitution.
