Charlotte’s Blueberry Park

Tacoma, Washington

Welcome to Charlotte's Blueberry Park in Tacoma, Washington. This park got it's name because it was once an operating blueberry farm operated by Lars and Gina Berg and their son Lloyd from 1952 until 1968 when the local school board bought the land to purchase a new high school. Neighborhood groups fought the plans for a new school and in the early 1990's most of the land was made into today's park. Today the park still has nearly 3,400 blueberry bushes where people can still come and pick berries.
