Blue Mound State Park

Blue Mounds, Wisconsin

Welcome to the unique and beautiful Blue Mound State Park, the highest natural point in southern Wisconsin about 25 miles west of the State Capitol. Come out for outstanding views or to explore more than 20 miles of multipurpose trails. This area has a unique geological history that ranges from mountains from over two billion years ago to an ocean floor over 400 million years ago. Many people come here for the sledding hill on snowy winter days. Some of the resident wildlife include flying squirrels, raccoons, skunks, and coyotes.
