Aztalan State Park
Welcome to Wisconsin's unique, beautiful, and historic Aztalan State Park located in Lake Mills on the banks of the Craw Fish River. This park is on the National Register of Historic Places and is the site of an old Mississippian Native American Village that early European Explorers thought were the Aztecs of Mexico. The Aztalan people lived in small clay mounds and harvested many crops including sunflowers, gourds, and corn. Some of the meet that they hunted included deer. The park itself first opened in the fall of 1928.
